February 7, 2023

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), with the concurrence of the U.S. Office of Government Ethics (OGE), is issuing this proposed rule to amend the Supplemental Standards of Ethical Conduct for Employees of the Securities and Exchange Commission by refining the transaction and reporting requirements applicable to members and employees; prohibiting employee ownership of sector funds that have a stated policy of concentrating their investments in entities directly regulated by the Commission; authorizing the collection of covered securities transactions and holdings data from financial institutions through a third-party automated compliance system; and making limited technical and ministerial changes.
